A reminiscence of when things were different.


Or most importantly, of how things will not turn out to be (hopefully!) if I can help it.


It doesn't pain me to talk about this anymore. As a matter of fact, when m last relationship ended all I felt was this numbness, which was quite surprising. Even my dearest mother was quite worried that I was devoid of emotions, to the extent that she kept asking me everyday how I felt about the whole situation.

Honestly, it hurts so bad the first time around shite happens in a relationship to the point I was contemplating doing stupid stuff. It hurts even more since you expected the relationship to last.Forever.

After it happens too many times, you start to wonder how much you are worth to the other person. And drawing your own conclusions from your 'analysis' hurts, but in the end, the analysis is often correct and then it hurts again.

Not trying to sound bitter here, but after getting 'burnt', sometimes you just couldn't be arsed anymore and start looking for a way out.

I think you must have realized by reading this blog that I don't talk about the penguinex-boyfriend anymore. Yup, obviously you must have drawn your own conclusions from that, and well, your conclusions have been correct.

But anyhow, I'm not feeling at all nostalgic tonight, but I am still going to post some pictures taken before the break-up because I think I look pretty in them *ehemehem*.

surprise surprise.

It is BLOODY HOT in Malaysia.

I had not a sen of Malaysian ringgit in my wallet (okay, maybe 30 something sen somewhere in one of my luggages). Luckily the penguinboyfriend gave me some money and I paid a little visit to Mr. ATM machine and I think I have enough money now to take a bus back home now if he refuses to send me back to Kay Elle. Lol.

Anyway have eaten nasi lemak (with loads of sambal!!), 'ikan bakar' (with lots of chilli and onions!!) and this morning had chicken rice balls (with lots of chilli sauce!!) and I think that I can shit fire soon. Okay, that sounded so crass and disgusting, but enough yammering on about my food intake.

SO HOT SO HOT SO HOT SO HOT SO HOT!!!

the weather...

has been great these few days!!

Seriously!! =)


But summer is due to end soon as well as all the sales. =(


Anyhow, hopefully the spate of great weather will continue soon, as it means that I get to soak up the sun and at the same time get the excuse to wear less clothing as possible.


Went to Embrace yesterday night, it was Mardi Gras part night, so for most of the electro/trance/techno/mashed up songs, there was this cute guy playing those drums (not sure about the correct term to describe them) for an added tribal beat. Something like what you get to hear in Safri Duo songs. The guy was *ehem ehem* cute. Lol. And I told the penguinboyfriend about him, and I could practically hear him sweating all the way from Malaysia. The penguinboyfriend told me "Happy Checking out Guys!" =.="""" Ahahahha, see, that's why I love him so much even though at some times I just feel like grabbing an electric fly-swatter and electrocuting him.. *muax*

I am not as faithful as he thinks...


yup, that is absolutely right. You read it correctly. But the sad part is, the penguinboyfriend knows about it. You see, I was talking to him many days ago through the MSN videocall feature, and I told him that I had been dating another male for the past two days.

I really did not know how to comprehend the look on his face; that ultra-familiar penguinboyfriend face suddenly morphed into a complete stranger's. "You what? I'm leaving you," he declared. Shite.

So I quickly explained the situation; The male which I had been dating was my lappy. I even told the penguinboyfriend the sordid details of our intimate affair. The times when we just stared at each other ; my lappy looks at me, and I look at it. The times when I just let my hands run all over it, and the times when I just kept banging it.

Dear penguinboyfriend, if you read this then I want to say that I love you.Tomorrow marks a certain special niche in my life. Meep.

i'm not a plastic bag.

okay, i reserved 2 of Anya Hindmarch's lovely creations which were supposed to help save the environment a few months ago. Before it was launched, I got my ass on a Thai Airways plane (with the most fucked up service I have EVER gotten. For them 'farangs' are like God, and if you are anyone else except a 'farang', then you get totally fucked up service. Thai Airways, you really suck. Read me? Your airline service sucksdonkeycockbigtimedotcom.) to British soil, and I entrusted the penguinboyfriend with the task of collecting my bags for me. Enter the launch date, and the mayhem of people queuing up early in the morning and then rushing to get the bag, which was sold out. In fact, I heard that many people who reserved the bags months ago(like me) did not get their orders, but others did.



Anyway, after much calls made to them (thanks Drew and my darling penguinboyfriend), most of the time they didn't bother to pick up the phone (tsktsktsk, bad customer service), the penguinboyfriend sends me a message saying that they told him that......sigh.....nevermind.


Stick around to find out what happened soon.



After typing all the above crap, I find it totally pointless. My conclusion of this whole blog entry is that I think I should really sleep soon.

retail therapy.

Works everytime even though I'm not emo anymore.


Went to Meadowhall(a 5 minutes train ride away). It is a shopping centre. Yes, it is huge, but unfortunately there was a flood that day and it affected most of the tenants on the lower ground floor, so even the food court and most of the shops on that floor were not open.

But La Senza was. Went in once, and came out with a HUGE bag of goodies. No, I'm not posting the pictures of what I bought here, but I am very pleased with my buys. Went in there later, before going back and came out with another bag again. Lol. I must have looked as if I have been deprived of lingerie shopping. Got a jacket too, and a belt from Marks & Spencers (for the penguinboyfriend). Actually I got him the exact same one from the High Street here, but the size was too big and they were out of stocks, so I got one in his size at Meadowhall and got a refund for the former one today. The exchange and refund policy here rocks..

Going to Leeds tomorrow. For more shopping again...*sigh* I have to control myself. Control. CONTROL....

York, York (Not New York-lah).Picture heavy. Part 1





A much belated post about the trip to York. Just looked through my pictures and I realised that none were blur this time around. Nice!

I finally got to see ducks swimming in the pond!! Didn't get to feed them though since I didn't have any bread with me.






I was so thrilled that I took another picture of the ducks.






And another. Admit that the pair of white ducks swimming together are pretty.





Syiok-lah seeing so many ducks swimming around since the only times I ever get to see ducks back in Malaysia are when I visit the chicken/duck rice seller. That's when I get to see roasted ducks hanging by their necks from the butcher hooks.I miss duck rice =(

Seen a dragonfruit plant before?



A few years back when the dragonfruit was just available in Malaysia (okay, maybe it has always been sold here, just that I was too blur and never noticed it around), I thought it was pretty and exotic all at once. It was also quite expensive at that time.
Now dragonfruits are so easily available for sale (grocery, pasar malam, etc. etc.) but have you seen one which hasn't been plucked yet?

The penguinboyfriend's house in Malacca has one plant which only has ONE fruit after all these years and since he was in trigger-happy mode (with the camera-lah!) he took pictures of it:










The plant looks like a cactus plant, complete with thorns as well.







Pretty kan? But I only like to look at it, since I don't like its taste.
By the way, the inside of the fruit was purple yah.

But now i can't even find any dragonfruit here in UK. =( hahah, not that I liked eating it anyway.

This is more stressful than getting married / Hair Kunst

I told the penguinboyfriend that the preparations to go overseas are more stressful than getting married and he asked me this:

Anyway I have a new look again (okay, not that new, but whatever) and the penguinboyfriend got his hair cut actually I forced him and even PAID for it but no one has to know at the same place I did my hair.

Hair Kunst @ the Curve rocks big time lampar(balls). For real.


The service is great, the stylists are super friendly, and the effect on my hair is excellent. instead of normal chinese tea, you get to choose from many more beverages.
Even though it took like many hours to get my hair done, and it was finished well after 10 pm, I liked the fact that the stylists there can still smile, and did NOT hurry through the process to shoo the customer(me!) out. Bambang was so nice, when he heard that I am about to leave for overseas, he gave me a little pressie (for luck, he says). So SWEET!! If you go, please check out the interior. I like the black and white flowered wall-paper and the mosaic wall (at the hair-washing area).

To get there, go to the Asian Courtyard (Halo cafe and Sakae Sushi side) at the Curve, take the lift to the second floor. Once you get out of the lift, turn right (the eye lasik centre will be on your left) and Hair Kunst!

They are having a promotion, btw, so doing my hair costs only half of what it would normally.

Thanks, Adam, for recommending that place. Worth every sen of my RM255 (Rm 200 for rebonding and RM 55 for the penguinboyfriend's hair wash+cut+blow dry).


Ah Ying, if you go, use my name hor..and go faster, cos' the promotion is so damn cheap (hair length does not matter) AND they use Schwarzkopf products.

I'm posting a slightly longer than usual blog entry today cos the penguinboyfriend remarked that I hardly blog nowadays.


Anyway, I would like to announce that from today onwards, my Celcom line has been disconnected, and if any one of you would like to contact me/help me reload my phone, well, my 016 number is stil in the picture.

The penguinboyfriend gets 'custody' of both my PDAs (including my new O2 Atom *sob sob*). Why does it seem that I never get to use my new phones for a long time before they fall into the evil clutches of the penguin boyfriend end up in the penguinboyfriend's 'custody'? i am beginning to see a trend here. Hhmmm....

The penguinboyfriend is ..*kow tows*

For four years, everytime I wish to enter the library it is a real pain in the asshassle. You have to be properly attired (no shorts, slippers, bring along ID card), or else there is no way to enter the library.

Earlier today, the penguinboyfriend waited for me for nearly 3 hours in the library. The best part is, he was wearing shorts, slippers and is SO NOT a student there (he hasn't been a student for nearly what, 6 to 7 years?)
