Trying out SK-II's Pitera Miracle Water

For Christmas this year, the company has decided to allow us to buy anything (except for groceries, vouchers) up to a value of RM350 as a gift for ourselves (we are allowed to top up additional costs).

And so I got myself some products from:

I had to top up about RM650 more! -__-

So far, so good, have not had any breakouts *knock wood*

To my observation, the Miracle Water seems to be helping me balance my skin and reduce the amount of blackheads & whiteheads. Why do I say so? Well, yesterday I went for my facial (not SK-II facial, you can get an SK II facial done at the counter in MidValley's Metrojaya/Jusco i think. I believe it costs RM135 per facial), and my beautician didn't really extract many blackheads/whiteheads, which is a really good sign!

Let's see if the same happens again in a month's time and we'll know if it's really me having wistful thinking or not. Anyway the cleanser is out of stock currently in Malaysia and Singapore as well. Hmmmm.

Okay, just a quick post to share. And no, I'm not getting paid to blog about this.

Visiting Copenhagen - land of the Nordic (and good genes)

*All photos were taken using a Blackberry*

I wanted to cry when my camera died-ed.

To update really quickly, I left my previous company, October 31st was my last day at work. Joined a new company on November 1st, and on November 2nd, I went for a work trip to Copenhagen, Denmark as the new company's HQ is there.

Anyway, i brought my Nikon DSLR, and guess what, on the day I wanted to use it, the lens just died-ed. Yes, that's right. Camera unusable *sigh* So i was left with my Blackberry, and as we know, Blackberry cameras leave much to be desired.

Copenhagen is a pretty interesting and nice country, reminds me a bit of Amsterdam (water canals and architecture), but I feel the people are nicer here. Had not many problems communicating with the locals, and they are generally quite helpful.

The company booked me into the Copenhagen Plaza hotel, a 4-star hotel there which has much history (google it! apparently many celebrities have stayed there. In fact, in the lobby, there is a list of celebrities who have stayed there). There is also the Library Bar (not to be confused with Library bars in Malaysia), with loads of books which can be read during the day even, and it is done up with heavy wood paneling.

Generally the cost of living there is freaking expensive! Example : 15-minute taxi ride to work from the hotel cost approximately 270 Danish Kroner (about RM 160) wtf. Travel tip: Taxi fare is payable by credit card there! Joy!

Luckily all expenses are borne by the company (and charged to our corporate credit card), if not i'd be bankrupt in no time.

Some memorable moments in Copenhagen:

1. Visiting the Little Mermaid statue:

Yes, my Danish colleagues warned me that she would be really little, and they were not joking. Dunno why but I thought she would be bigger. Felt a little bit cheated, sort of like when u chat with someone online and he/she sends you a picture which shows a good-looking person, but when you meet the person in real life, they turn out to be NOTHING like the picture. Yep. That feeling (not that I have ever had this experience). Apparently last year the statue was away in the Shanghai exhibition, and the statue has been defaced (head gone missing etc) before. Makes you wonder what notice/board they put up on the rock when the statue was away. 'Gone to China BRB' or 'Out of Office'? Hmmmm...

Got lost walking in the park on the hunt for the Little Mermaid. Travel tip: Do NOT ever ask tourists for help. Ever.

On the way back at the Osterport train station there was a flasher next to me and I didnt realise wtf. Fucker I hope your prostate gives you problems since you like having it out in the cold. I would have pointed to his 'wedding tackle', laughed and said "so small!" had I realised.

2. Taxi ride to Radisson SAS Scandic Hotel

Went with my two colleagues from China there for dinner at the Blue Elephant, a Thai fine dining place. One of my colleagues who has been to Denmark many times before asked the taxi driver if he knew which Radisson Hotel it was as there are two in Copenhagen. She told him it was the one with the casino. And he was like yes, there is only one casino in COpenhagen. Later she asked him whether it was safe to walk back to our hotel after dinner as we initially wanted to walk back. He paused, then said yes, Copenhagen is very safe, even if you walk back at 2-3 am.

We realised during dinner later that the taxi driver probably thought we 3 Chinese people must have wanted to visit the casino, and also thought we could win money and walk back later. (which explains why he said it was safe to walk back at 2-3 am when my colleague asked whether it was safe to walk back AFTER DINNER).

We did not visit the casino though. And we didnt walk back either (too damn cold).

3. Candy shopping:

None of it are for me btw. I just got myself 2 chocolate bars.

A few other memorable occasions there like visiting the Department Head's absolutely fucking huge and awesome house for a welcome dinner, getting separated with absolutely no contact whatsoever with my colleagues in Fields department store, dinner with colleagues and so on.

Too tired to continue, need to sleep now to offset my jetlag.

Thanks for reading, apologies for not updating as often as I would've liked.

Screw handbags, we're going for gold.

I've got 'babies' from Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Balenciaga, LV, Anya, Coach, Tous, Burberry and more.

I've 'seen the light'.

These 'babies' decrease in value everyday. So I've decided not to purchase handbags anymore and to buy precious metals and precious stones instead ok, for the time being anyway. Did I mention I just bought a Dior wallet?!

Good idea right! *depressed suddenly feeling very old* -__-"

Have a good week ahead.

ah ling punya store

Ted Baker sandals, nike shoes, branded bags, Dorothy Perkins, Warehouse dresses and many more to come hopefully before I lose my enthusiasm to take pictures and upload them.

Have decided that having a mountain of clothes, shoes and bags in my room is not going to do me any good, all the more since I have never or hardly used most of my stuff. Having given aways literally many boxes of clothing and more, my room was de-cluttered. And then along came the boxes we shipped from our life in UK.

And so, quite reluctantly, I am selling my stuff =/ Kinda sad but hey! Might as well sell them to people who will use them right?

One of the items on sale there:

My beloved Ted Baker sandals =(

Hop on over to ahlingpunyastore to see if anything catches your fancy. Let me know if the prices are workable, gimme feedback, leave me a comment marriage proposals accepted too, anything!

How was your Valentine's Day?

Received a very interesting present from the partner. Not 'naughty' interesting, just 'interesting' interesting.

He's taking me to Bali again *super excited* and most prolly we can go to the rock bar in Ayana *even more excited* =) Oh, and I got a 3-D pop-up card. Handmade. So creative and lovely! Me likey!! Thank you baby muaxxxxxxxxxx

------------------------------------------------

On another note, should be having a 'tissue box' party a.k.a celebrating the arrival of a new car. No more local, have chosen a brand which has gone global (or rather, Japanese to be more exact).

Test-drove it the other day and with 5 buffaloes in it me included, the pickup was still quite impressive. Then hopped over to the *cough*Proton*cough* showroom as a friend wanted to test drive the Proton Inspira. Wow. You'll never believe it.

They refused to let him test drive it because "Sorry bang, minyak sudah nak habis" (Sorry bro, the petrol is almost finished)*Smacks forehead with palm*

Profound words of wisdom which conveyed the utmost impression that (obviously) that particular salesman couldn't be arsed at all to take the car out and pump petrol so that my mate could try it out. Ok,Proton @ Glenmarie. You can keep your car WTF and shove it up your you-know-where sideways.

Maybe we were being biased because of all our personal experiences with Proton, but if you have a chance, go check the car out. Our grouses are that the passengers at the back does not have enough leg-room, the fittings inside the car look so cheapo and the boot is not big enough. But don't take my word for it and don't agree with me, just go to any Proton showroom. Smart guys get the Inspira, smarter guys get the Lancer.

Oh, and girls, when visiting car show rooms in Malaysia please make sure you wear jeans/trousers or at least black undies unless you don't mind flashing others. Found out that the floors of many showrooms are too polished and clean, hence the floor acting as a mirror which gives others a lovely upskirt look WTF.

P.S: Thank you BB for helping me pay half of the car *kisses*

House, then a car? We work hard to lease stuff from the bank.

Last year with the grace of God (and the boyfriend), we managed to get a house. (Technically it's not ours yet, but the legal loanshark'sbank's)

This year, we have decided to get me a new car!! *throws confetti hamsters and mandarin oranges* Here's where the problem lies:

1. Not really sure which model to get
2. Up the budget by an additional 10k to get my dream sports car?!?
3. Don't wanna pay monthly installments =(
4. NEED MORE MONEY!!
5. NEED MORE MONEY!!!
6. NEED MORE ....(you get the idea)

Damnit, it's like we're leasing all the stuff we yearn to own from the bank, and working hard to lease even more stuff from the bank.

Depressing wei.

I'm on a Thomas Sabo shopping spree...

Yes, because I can! *woohoo! throws confetti and hamsters* When we were in UK, we didn't want to buy Thomas Sabo products because we were thinking what a waste of money it would be. In fact, my charm bracelet + charms are a present from the boyfriend. And then, coming back I regret not buying more -__-"" so now shop for more-lah!

Also I am slightly constipated and cranky. It's all the carbs, I'm telling you

Having a slightly confusing experience sorting out the paperwork for the new 'toy'. It's DONE. I've signed for it. We are about to start paying for it too. Yes, we are legally the new owners of an apartment. At the price we will pay for it, 1238 square-feet is such a bargain! I love going into the basement parking; there's natural forests around. Better savour the amazing green sight before it is gone.

House hunting - It's on!

For certain reasons, the boyfriend and I have decided to house hunt No, marriage isn't one of those reasons. I guess waiting to inherit a property from my parents is one of those reasons.

Anyway.

Driving around his housing area sometime last weekend, we spotted this block of apartments. And there was a banner with an agent's number on ONE of the windows. Cut a long story short, we are seeing that place this weekend (ok, I admit! we went into a unit which was unlocked. The key words here are UNLOCKED and UNOCCUPIED), or to be more specific, that PARTICULAR unit). Will also be looking at another unit where the partner currently stays. Depending on how much the unit can be rented out for, I can safely say we are looking at 5-6% returns. Not bad for the amount of investment required, me thinks.

Wish us luck!

My birthday & the completion of Mission 'Find Chanel Classic Jumbo Flap XL with gold chain'

Eiffel Tower lit up with various colours.

So this year we went to Paris for the New Year's countdown, were greatly disappointed by the absence of fireworks at the Eiffel Tower (more on that later) and paid a visit to 31, Rue de Cambon.

Yes, the headquarters of fashion house Chanel.

To get this:

Boyfriend also wanted to camwhore with it.

As you see in THIS POST, the paper bags and boxes are slightly different. Lansi-nya -__-"

Oh and if you have to know, this bag is sold for 2010 Euros (calfskin) and if you're thinking of getting one in lambskin, it's only 10 Euros more wtf. So 2020 Euros for the lambskin version.

-------------------------------------------------------

Oh yes, and after Paris it was touchdown in London for my birthday. I got a totally unexpected present (and a stripper as well!! Private joke xD) :

Thank you very muchie darling!! The charms tell a story as well, heheh..

Oh, and had duck rice at Bayswater again. I swear to God, there's something in that duck of theirs...-__-" Service here is WAY better than their other branch in London's Chinatown. And it is not as crowded in Bayswater as compared to the other branch.

Don't like waiting + not enough sleep + tired.

Half a duck (deboned upon request), mixed plate of 'char siew'(honey-roasted pork) and 'siew yoke'(roast pork).

Also had rice, and a pot of tea for two people (both rice & tea = free-flow).

Total damage - GBP 26.00

Yups, a really REALLY low-key birthday this year. Anyway I've been turning 18 years of age 7 times in a row already, hehehe..

Unwrapping post - Chanel Classic Jumbo Flap XL in calfskin.

How ironic life is. The boyfriend got a call 2 days ago from the Chanel boutique in Manchester saying that the bag he wanted had been reserved for him wtf. And so we went down to Manchester yesterday for a spot of shopping and to pick up my new baby.

Anyway, here it goes:

And look! Finally!!

Hello baby!! <333

The price HAS GONE UP unfortunately, so I no longer paid the amount as mentioned HERE though. Bloody hell. The price for the Chanel Classic Jumbo Flap XL in Calfskin is now GBP 1920.

Thank you dear parents!! =) Bless my mummy for telling me not to walk away empty-handed from the Chanel boutique if I couldn't get this bag. Now the hunt is on for HER Chanel bag instead.

My mummy's advice "Buy one, save RM xxxx. The more you buy, the more you save. So buy more!!" -__-"

P.S: My watch present from the boyfriend also arrived! I <333 it too..Thank you so very much, beebee. *MUAXXXXXXXXXXXX* *Happy happy!*

P.P.S: Prolly the prices of other branded goods have gone up too? Haven't had time to check the LV website yet though...Hmmmmm..

LV Taiga wallet for men.

Because I am uber bad at keeping secrets from him, I caved.

I gave him 1/3 of his birthday present, er, 3 weeks early a little too early to be exact.

The SA helped me gift wrap it without me asking. That's what I call damn good perception, and good customer service =)

The other 1/3 of the present has already been dispatched according to the email Amazon.com sent me (it's a lens for his camera btw), but the dilemma now is, what should the last 1/3 of his present(s) be? Any ideas anyone?

Of Miss Sixty and Diesel's 'tetek' tops.

Wait, I'll explain about the inclusion of the word 'tetek' in my title above in a little bit. No, I am not trying to be vulgar. (A quick lesson in Bahasa Malaysia for the uncomprehending ; 'tetek' = breasts/boobs/tits etc.)

Finally after looking at Miss Sixty dresses at asos.com, well, I caved and got one.

Yeah!

And now on to the matter of 'tetek', was shoppingbrowsing online at a fashion site, and saw this:

seriously WTF?!

Gucci, Prada, Fendi....

and also visited Chanel, Dior, Ferragammo, Celine, Burberry, D&G and Louis Vuitton while we were down in London.

1) Chanel in Selfridges in London only stock the Jumbo Flap in Pink or Light Green (this season's colours). Black is completely sold out, so what I might do is go down to the one in Selfridges Manchester to ask about ordering them, or to check when we go down to Paris. The search begins.

2) Currently contemplating between a Dior or LV ladies purse to replace my existing Burberry one.

3) Bought a pair of Gucci shades to add to my sunglasses collection lol. Looking for one last pair of Dior ones before we go back home.

4) Didn't know there's a Diana & Dodi Al-Fayed memorial in Harrods (There is a diamond-encrusted ring displayed in glass as well, going to find out later who's ring that was). All those times we've been there, we didn't realize that -__-"

5) Met the most friendly SA in Louis Vuitton ever in Harrods. Nice to know he's more 'approachable' as compared to many SAs in designer counters/boutiques.

6) Went for Four Seasons duck rice in Bayswater and in the one in Chinatown. Can I say that even though they are under the same company, the one in Bayswater (the last time I've been there was 2 years ago) wins hands down as the duck tastes a lot better and the service there too is a while lot better. Price wise the dishes in Bayswater are 30 pence cheaper.

For 4 of us, we ordered a whole duck, and a plate of charsiew (honey-roasted pork), had rice and tea. Price came to GBP 41.50, which is quite reasonable (if you do NOT convert).

More random ramblings later. Got to get to work soon.

New shoes haul for the month..

Damn, I love shoes.

*Ignores the boyfriend asking me how many pairs of legs I have wtf*

1) Ted Baker

Love the detail on the heels..

2) Ted Baker

Decided that I need a pair of shoes which do not come with 5 inch heels, so opted for this pair above.

3) Steve Madden

My first ever pair of Steve Maddens! The boyfriend helped me select this pair. Super high heels okay, am a bit worried that I might break my ankles wearing this *knock on wood*

And that's it so far...stop me shopping online please, it's an addiction i'm finding difficult to say "Tak Nak" (no) to wtf.

Heart of Asia - Hard Trance Bootlegs 2008

Was just clicking on random music videos on Youtube, when I came across this video:

Check out the girl getting tattooed in traditional Japanese style also known as 'irezumi' or 'horimono' which infuses bold colours.

But anyway, after that video, I found a remix which also appears on Hard Trance Bootlegs 2008 CD by Masif DJs. Which led me to google more info about the album, and I bought it from Amazon.co.uk. Lol.

Sigh...Yam feeling like getting another tattoo now, wistful thinking, wistful thinking ah ling....

P.S: Dreamt last nite that I was back in Malaysia, and was out with someone (Mum? The boyfriend? Can't remember who now) at a food court, and EVERYONE was bloody staring at my back, and I got so 'tulan' (pissed off) I purposely tied my hair back so they could have a better look -___-"
